FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Parkland, Florida / National — March 24, 2026 — Biazzo Law, PLLC announced today the expansion of its Federal Government Oversight Initiative, a coordinated series of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests seeking records related to federal surveillance practices, immigration enforcement operations, and executive authority.

The initiative is grounded in a central principle:federal agencies must comply with their statutory obligations to disclose non-exempt records to the public.

Biazzo Law will publish responsive records on its website as they are produced:👉 https://www.biazzolaw.com/biazzolawgovernmentoversight

Active FOIA Requests Across Multiple Federal Agencies

Biazzo Law has submitted 18 FOIA requests to agencies including DHS, FBI, ICE, CBP, DOJ, OLC, and the Department of Defense. All requests remain pending within FOIA’s statutory response framework.

Each request seeks final agency records, policies, and legal interpretations constituting “working law”, consistent with FOIA’s disclosure requirements.

Requests Focus on Matters of Significant Public Interest

The requests address multiple areas of substantial public concern, including:

Surveillance and First Amendment Activity

Requests seek agency policies governing:

  • Use of facial recognition and biometric systems

  • Monitoring of domestic protest activity

  • FBI collection and analysis of social media information

These records are expected to clarify the scope of federal surveillance authorities and applicable constitutional limitations.

Joint ICE and CBP Enforcement Operations

The initiative includes requests concerning large-scale enforcement activities conducted by ICE and CBP, including:

  • Operation Metro Surge

  • Operation Charlotte’s Web

  • Operation Midway Blitz

The requests seek records including:

  • Operational directives and planning materials

  • Interagency coordination records

  • Data and metrics regarding enforcement activity

  • Legal and policy guidance governing these operations

  • Records reflecting civilian interactions and oversight

These requests are intended to obtain final agency records and operational policies, not speculative or deliberative materials.

Immigration Enforcement Policies and Constitutional Constraints

Additional requests seek records concerning:

  • ICE policies governing entry into private residences

  • Procedures for detention and verification of U.S. citizenship claims

  • Policies governing interactions with individuals observing enforcement activity

  • Use-of-force policies applicable to public enforcement operations

These requests focus on final agency policies and guidance documents that define enforcement practices.

Executive Authority and Legal Interpretations

Biazzo Law is also seeking records reflecting final legal interpretations adopted by the executive branch, including:

  • Presidential emergency powers interpretations

  • Authority to use military force without congressional authorization

  • Legal standards governing “imminent threat” determinations

  • War Powers Resolution reporting procedures

  • Interpretations of the Foreign Emoluments Clause

These categories specifically target records constituting binding or operative agency interpretations (“working law”) subject to disclosure under FOIA.

Department of Defense and Federal Authority Oversight

Requests also address:

  • Policies governing retired military personnel and administrative proceedings

  • Department of Justice records concerning federal investigative activity of national significance

Commitment to Public Access and FOIA Compliance

Biazzo Law intends to:

  • Publish all non-exempt responsive records

  • Provide analysis of disclosed materials

  • Ensure public access to information concerning federal government operations

The initiative is conducted consistent with FOIA’s statutory framework and judicial precedent favoring disclosure of final agency records.

Preservation of Legal Rights

Biazzo Law expressly reserves all rights under FOIA, including:

  • The right to challenge withholding of non-exempt records

  • The right to contest inadequate searches or delayed responses

  • The right to pursue administrative appeals and federal litigation where necessary

Nothing in this release should be construed as a limitation on the firm’s legal positions, claims, or arguments in any present or future proceedings.
